To deal with accounting for the crew, like wages, overtimes, cash advances, seniority bonus, vacation pay, allotments, etc. can be quite complicated for the Crew/Chief Purser or Financial Officer, as well as for the office. So far payrolls have been handled often by spreadsheets or with additional accounting programs.

The MXP Payroll software module is also an integrated module of the MXP software. Therefore crew data is taken out automatically of the HR module. This increases the efficiency and minimizes entry mistakes. It is an easy straight forward program to handle all wages and payments issues a cruise company deals with.

• In the position maintenance, contract templates for each position on board are created and specified with all required wage components
• The payroll gets activated via the contract. It calculates the exact wages for each crewmember based on the contract data's. Contracts can be adjusted or added if anything is different to the position template
• The Payroll Quick Entry offers various sorting criteria, i.e. departments. With this functionality, monthly overtime hours or other recurrent entries are done easily
• All accounting information is listed into Period to Date, Contract to Date and Year to Date. This offers the complete set of accounting and reporting requirements
• The office as well as all ships can access and view the payroll of all installations. User accesses are fully configurable. The Audit Log tracks all changes and adjustments of each user
• Wire transfers are sent electronically in order to transfer funds e.g. home allotments. MXP creates a visual log of the transfers, which will need to be checked and approved before being exported
• Various Cash Advance Sheets (i.e. available for payout) can be printed out of MXP
• Pay slips can be printed out by department, by crew number or by last name
• Various Payroll Reports can be printed out or exported to PDF or excel file
