Recipes and Menu Cycles
MXP contains a complete recipe and menu cycle module.
Recipes consist of:
- Recipe image
- Description in several languages
- Serving ideas
- Ingredients linked to the item master specifications with automatic yields and cost per ingredient
- Internal requisition automation with lead times, basic preparation
- HACCP/CDC guidelines to reduce organizational risk exposure

Recipes are assigned to dishes, which consist of:
- Image of dish
- Dish description in several languages
- Presentation description
- Wine suggestions
- Serving styles
- Cost per dish
Dishes are assigned to menus, which consist of:
- Course
- Cost per course
Menu cycles are created by assigning menus to meals served in restaurants. Once a cycle is created for a cruise, it can be batch cloned to other cruises. Based on history and load factors, MXP forecasts how many dishes of each course will be served. These forecasts are used to create internal requisitions by date, galley and position.
